Dani Dyer, partner to England footballer Jarrod Bowen participating in Euro 2024, has candidly shared her experiences managing parenting and support during the tournament. The mother of three, including young twins, admitted to feeling overwhelmed at times while juggling childcare alone in Germany.
Jarrod, playing for England in the Euros, leaves Dani to care for their children—Santiago, three, and twins Summer and Star, one. Despite the challenges, Dani expressed admiration for Jarrod’s relaxed parenting style, contrasting it with her own more frantic approach. “He’s so laid back,” Dani shared with Hello!, “and I think that works because I worry and he’s not like that at all.”
Flying alone with her twins for the first time to watch Jarrod play was a daunting experience for Dani. Reflecting on the journey, she admitted moments of doubt, saying, “There were moments where I thought ‘I can’t do this again!’ but now we’re here, it has been lovely.”
Dani also shed light on the uncertainty surrounding match appearances, revealing, “The England players don’t know if they’re playing until the public finds out.” Despite this, she confessed to losing sleep over such uncertainties while Jarrod remains notably composed.

Regarding the term “WAG,” often used to refer to footballers’ partners, Dani expressed a relaxed attitude, stating, “It honestly doesn’t bother me.” Reflecting on its decline in use since the early 2000s, she noted shifts in cultural focus away from scrutinizing partners’ appearances.
Recently, Dani publicly honored Jarrod on Father’s Day with a heartfelt message, highlighting their appreciation for his dedication to their family amidst his professional commitments. “Happy Father’s Day baby,” she posted, “Thank you for everything you do for us and being the best daddy.”
Dani’s openness about her Euro 2024 journey provides a glimpse into the challenges and rewards of supporting a partner on the international stage, showcasing both personal resilience and familial support.
