Alina Habba, a prominent member of former President Donald Trump’s legal team, took center stage during his fraud trial in Manhattan. At the trial, Habba, a 39-year-old attorney, defended the valuation of Trump’s real estate holdings, referring to them as “Mona Lisa properties,” justifying the valuations placed by Trump and his organization.
Trump’s association with Habba was evident, as he attended her birthday party earlier this year. During the trial, Habba drew attention not only for her legal arguments but also for her distinctive gaming laptop, adorned with a logo that changed colors in sync with the courtroom proceedings.
On Tuesday, just before Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen took the stand, Habba requested a different microphone due to COVID-19 concerns, sparking a brief dispute. Habba, a Catholic Arab, holds degrees in political science and law, practicing in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Her legal expertise encompasses various areas, including corporate litigation, real estate, family law, and financial services.
Habba’s connection with Trump dates back to 2019 when she joined his Bedminster golf club near her workplace. She officially joined his legal team in September 2021 and has since actively supported Trump’s campaign to reclaim the presidency. Habba, described as the “General Counsel and Legal Spokesperson for Save America,” frequently appears at Mar-a-Lago and Trump’s Bedminster golf club, showcasing her dedication to Trump’s political endeavors.
In addition to her association with Trump, Habba maintains friendships within Trump’s circle, notably seen in her camaraderie with Rudy Giuliani. The attorney, described as a “patriot” blessed with a supportive family, remains a steadfast advocate for Trump’s legal battles and political ambitions.
