Stone, aged 66, expressed her admiration for Butler, 32, emphasizing his burgeoning career and personal qualities.
Stone spoke warmly about Butler on the red carpet at TCL Theatre, stating, “I really adore Austin. I think he’s such a great kid and I love the way he’s coming on in his career. I think it’s wonderful.”

Butler reciprocated the sentiment, recounting their initial meeting at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, where they first connected during the premiere of his film ‘Elvis’. “We have a really special connection,” Butler shared with Entertainment Tonight. Reflecting on their encounter, Stone recalled the impact Butler’s rise to fame had on her. She remarked, “I have to say, I’ve been in a lot of premieres, I’ve been to a lot of premieres in Cannes, and this is the only time I saw what happened to me happen to someone else.”

Acknowledging the challenges of sudden fame, Stone offered support and guidance to Butler, drawing parallels to her own experiences in the spotlight. She stressed the importance of navigating stardom with honesty and sincerity, echoing the mentorship she received from Sylvester Stallone early in her career. “I really do, I love that kid, and I really believe in him,” Stone affirmed, emphasizing her commitment to ensuring Butler’s well-being as he continues his journey in Hollywood.
Directed by Jeff Nichols and based on Danny Lyon’s 1968 photo book, ‘The Bikeriders’ features Butler alongside co-stars Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy. The film follows the story of Benny (Butler), a member of the Vandals motorcycle gang, as he navigates love and loyalty amidst escalating violence.
