The victims, all from Alpharetta, Georgia, were on a family trip to Texas, except for Barri, who was a roommate of one of the family members. Ayyappala Bandaru, Barri’s roommate in Irvine, described him as a kind and generous person who loved his family. Barri, an Indian immigrant pursuing a master’s degree in computer science, had recently started working as a software engineer. Plans to visit his parents in India were tragically cut short by the devastating crash.
