Former President Donald Trump exuberantly declared victory on social media following a significant development in the civil financial fraud case brought against the Trump Organization by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump lauded his expert witness, emphasizing, “Our expert witness was incredible in court today. Won every single point, with strength, but grace.” The former president asserted that the attorney general’s team found themselves without answers, unable to counter the expert’s compelling testimony.
The expert, whose testimony Trump characterized as damning, declared the entire case a “disgrace” that “should never have been brought.” Furthermore, the expert attested to Trump’s finances being the “best he has ever seen” and adamantly called for an immediate dismissal of the case.
In a direct critique of AG James, Trump labeled her a “corrupt Attorney General” who had campaigned on the promise to “get TRUMP.” He did not shy away from criticizing the presiding judge, accusing the “Radical Left Judge” of potential bias. Trump questioned the judge’s decision not to grant a jury trial and expressed dissatisfaction with the exclusion of victim testimony.
Trump directed his ire at Michael Cohen, his former attorney-turned-adversary, dismissing him as a “totally discredited star witness” who had admitted to lying during his testimony. Trump argued that such perjury should be grounds for dismissal in any impartial court.
Undeterred by repeated refusals for case dismissal, Trump openly vented his frustration, characterizing the judge as a “Trump Hater.” He concluded his social media rant by deriding the $18 million valuation of his Mar-a-Lago estate as “an insult to America.”
While Attorney General James aims to permanently bar Trump and his children from running businesses in New York state, the former president exuded confidence in his legal team’s performance, claiming that his expert witness meticulously dismantled the extensive financial fraud claims put forth by the attorney general. The latest hearing seems to have shifted the momentum in Trump’s favor as he remains defiant in the face of legal challenges.
