Former President Donald Trump has pledged to carry out what he calls “the largest mass deportation in the history of our country” if he wins re-election. This promise, made during a recent event, underscores Trump’s hardline stance on immigration—a key element of his political platform.

In his speech, Trump argued that the current immigration situation is “not sustainable” and emphasized the urgent need for drastic action. According to a video released on August 9, 2024, Trump outlined his plan to begin the mass deportation with violent criminals and extend it to others deemed criminal. He stated, “We have no choice,” reflecting his belief that illegal immigration is placing an unacceptable burden on the United States.

Trump also highlighted the role of local police in his plan, suggesting that their intimate knowledge of community members would be crucial in identifying and deporting those he considers threats. “Our local police are going to work with us because they know everything about the people,” he said.

In his critique of political opponents, Trump accused them of either incompetence or deliberate malfeasance regarding illegal immigration. He argued that some politicians might be motivated by a desire to undermine the country or to register illegal immigrants to vote. “They’re either really stupid, or they have bad motives, or they hate our country,” Trump claimed.

Besides his immigration policy, Trump addressed other issues, including Social Security and economic growth. He assured that Social Security would remain unaffected and untaxed under his leadership, citing his previous term as evidence of his commitment to protecting seniors’ benefits. Additionally, Trump proposed eliminating taxes on tips to support working Americans.

Trump also emphasized America’s natural resources, particularly oil and gas, as untapped economic potential. He compared U.S. reserves to those of Saudi Arabia and Russia, referring to them as “Liquid Gold.”

Targeting sanctuary cities, Trump criticized them for protecting criminals and contributing to rising crime rates. He vowed to dismantle sanctuary cities, citing California as an example of public discontent with such policies. “Sanctuary cities is a way of protecting criminals, and we should not have them,” Trump asserted, promising to address the issue by November 5th.

This latest pledge reaffirms Trump’s commitment to his tough-on-immigration policies and his broader vision for the country’s future.
