A bid to kick Donald Trump off Wisconsin’s primary ballot got the cold shoulder from the Elections Commission, but the gutsy brewery owner behind it isn’t throwing in the towel just yet.
Kirk Bangstad, the spirited owner of Minocqua Brewing Co., saw his petition swiftly tossed by the Wisconsin Elections Commission. They claimed they couldn’t handle a complaint against themselves. Bangstad, however, had a trick up his sleeve—he deliberately followed advice from others in similar fights: Stick to the rules, let them say no, then head to court, he shared with the Wisconsin State Journal.
In a dozen states, Trump’s ballot position is under fire, and Bangstad’s case rests on the 14th Amendment’s 3rd Section, also known as the insurrection clause. Despite the setback, this brewery maverick is gearing up for the next round. Stay tuned to see how this political showdown unfolds!
